Wedding and elopement photographer

Info

Your wedding photographs are one of the few things you’ll take away from the day itself. I want them to feel honest, familiar and full of the people, atmosphere and little moments that made it yours.

Most of my couples choose full-day coverage, giving me the time to tell the whole story without photography taking over the day. If you’re planning something shorter or a little different, tell me what you have in mind and I’ll help you work out the coverage that fits.

Photography that fits around your day.

I’ll get to know what matters to you before the wedding, help make sure the photography fits comfortably around your plans and then let you get on with actually enjoying it.

You won’t spend hours disappearing for photographs. We’ll make beautiful portraits when the light is right, gather the people who matter for the photographs you want, and leave plenty of room for everything that happens in between.

Planning something a little shorter?

Not every wedding needs ten hours of photography. Limited shorter coverage is available for smaller celebrations, twilight weddings and selected dates. Tell me what you’re planning and I’ll recommend the coverage that makes sense.

We couldn't recommend Sam highly enough, she met with us before our wedding and put us at ease. On the day itself she was brilliant and we're so happy with our photos - she was so kind to our families and we're so grateful she was a part of our special day!

 Frequently asked
questions

  • How far in advance should we book our wedding photographer?

As soon as you have your date and venue confirmed. Popular summer Saturdays can book quite far ahead, but every year is different, so it’s always worth getting in touch even if your wedding is coming up sooner than expected.

  • How long are you with us on the wedding day?

My full-day coverage is around 10 hours, usually starting during morning preparations and taking us through to the first dance. We’ll work out the timings together so the photography fits naturally around your day rather than the other way around.

  • We hate having our photograph taken - is that a problem?

Not at all. Most of my couples tell me exactly the same thing. You won’t be expected to know what to do in front of the camera. I’ll give you a little gentle guidance when you need it, then let you relax, be together and forget I’m there.

  • Do you take family/group photographs?

Absolutely. Family photographs are important and I’ll always make time for the ones that matter to you. I just like to keep them relaxed and efficient so you’re not standing around for ages when you could be enjoying your wedding.

  • How do we book you?

Once you’ve checked that I’m available for your date and decided you’d like me to be part of your team, I’ll send everything over for you to complete online. Once the booking paperwork and payment are sorted, your date is secured in my diary and we can start planning.

  • Do you travel throughout the UK?

Yes. I’m based in Cheshire but actually most of the weddings I photograph are across North Wales, the Lake District and throughout the UK. Travel within mainland UK is included in my full-day wedding package.

  • How many photographs will we receive?

For a full wedding day, you can expect at least 600 individually edited, high-resolution photographs. I don’t put a strict limit on the final number - if an image helps tell the story of your day, I want you to have it.

  • When will we receive our wedding photographs?

Your photographs are individually edited with the same care I put into photographing your day, so I never rush the process. I’ll give you a clear expected delivery timeframe when you book and keep you updated while your gallery is being created.

  • Can we add an album after the wedding?

Yes. You don’t have to decide about an album when you book. Once you’ve received your gallery, you can choose to have your photographs turned into a beautiful fine-art wedding album, designed to tell the story of the day from beginning to end.

  • Do you offer shorter wedding coverage?

Yes, for smaller celebrations, twilight weddings and selected dates. Tell me a little about what you’re planning and I can recommend the amount of coverage that makes the most sense for your day.

  • What happens if it rains?

We work with it. I’ll always keep an eye on the weather and make the most of any dry spells, but beautiful wedding photographs absolutely don’t depend on perfect sunshine. We can use the venue, window light, sheltered areas and, if you’re happy to, occasionally embrace the rain too. I always carry a clear umbrella with me if it looks like it will rain and I recommend getting some for your bridal party too.
